Jess & Ben were married on a perfectly sunny November day at the Krohn Conservatory. Jess chose a bold orange to pop against the lush green of her venue and the pewter gray of the bridesmaid dresses.

This wedding is way up there as one of my favorites from the year. Jess and Ben infused their personalities throughout their wedding and packed the day full of fun and sentiment. Yes… they brought Rock Band to their reception and from what I’ve heard it was a huge hit!

One of my favorite cake tables from 2008. The bird motif was on their invitations and copied in fondant for their wedding cake. The toss bouquet was orange ranunculus and mini-roses accented with feathers. I just loved it! I promise, the croton leaves around the cake were not from the plant directly across from this table at the conservatory… I brought them off of my own plant from home, really!

Amy & Doug are such a great couple and it was really an honor to be a part of their day in such a special way. They also happen to be my neighbors so it was especially fun to be around for the buzz the day of the wedding. Doug has quite a sense of humor as you’ll see below. Kat and Jon were married at the Pier V Hotel in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. They chose a rich cranberry red and silver theme to compliment the holiday season. I received a few pics from the photographer and couldn’t wait to share. I don’t have pictures for some of the incredible details (hand calligraphy on all the escort cards, custom pressed Beatles CDs that acted as the table numbers, dance area tented over the harbor, 23-piece band that was absolutely phenomenal and had even my 80 year old aunts dancing…. oh the details were amazing) but thought I’d go ahead and post some pictures of the girls’ bouquets.

Rich color and texture with modern touches were the bride’s requests for her flowers. Flowers include burgundy peonies, james storei orchids, anemones, roses, ranunculus, parrot tulips, scabiosa, blackberries, berzillia and privet berries accented with maiden hair ferns, loops of grass and aspidistra leaves, scented geranium foliage and photina leaves. It was all so rich and luxurious.

Too bad they don’t make scratch n’ sniff for the computer… this one was so yummy! Over 100 stems of fresh english lavender mixed with black bearded wheat made up this bouquet. This was a gift for one of my favorite photographers, Tine Hofmann who sent over these wicked cool shots. Thanks, Tine… you rock
